The Ministry of Food and Drug Safety (MFDS) hosted a WHO international workshop to strengthen Korea’s leadership in the field of biosimilars. The workshop brought together regulatory officials from the Western Pacific Region to provide training on the latest WHO regulatory developments and to promote global regulatory harmonization for biosimilar medicines.

Based on the revised WHO guidelines, participants shared commonalities and differences in the evaluation systems and regulatory frameworks of their respective countries, while exploring ways to advance regulatory harmonization, mutual cooperation, and capacity building among regulatory authorities.
